God Has Given You Ground. It's Time to Take It.

Somewhere along the way, a lot of us settled.

We settled for getting through the week. For being decent guys who keep our heads down, cover the bills, stay out of trouble, and hope the people we love turn out okay. We stopped expecting God to do anything through us that we couldn't already explain.

But God has made you for more.

He promised you ground - greater areas of purpose, success, and significance. And He didn't just promise it. He empowered us to go take it. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead is available to men who are willing to move.

Taking Ground is a day to be reminded that you were made for significance and impact.

Chris Brown has served as a Senior and Teaching Pastor at North Coast Church since 2004. A gifted storyteller and Bible teacher, he uses humor and a motivational style to help people truly experience the grace and mercy they've been given — and fall more in love with Jesus. His life's work is equipping people to follow Jesus and building healthy, highly productive teams that serve the local church.  Chris lives in Oceanside, California with his wife Amy and their three children, and fishes as often as his schedule allows.
